I recently completed 2 terms on the American Camp Association national board. I serve with leading national youth development organizations including: NIOST, Weikart Center and National Summer Learning Association.

Based on your skills, dispositions, and expertise, explain how you see yourself contributing to NAA's strategic focus areas: Field Leadership, Professional Development, Advocacy, Community Building.

I am a subject matter expert in the discipline of Positive Youth Development. I provide professional development experiences that at dynamic and highly interactive. I am well versed in adult learning theory and have provided coaching supports for non-profit executives and frontline staff.

I have a strong business acumen with the ability to make strong interpersonal connections with people of all ages. I really believe that this is my superpower. I am not afraid to confront issues without being confrontational. I am entrepreneurial. I am mission driven and innovative. I can hold both the big picture and practical applications in my thinking simultaneously. I have a great sense of humor which helps during tough times.

Why are you interested in being a member of the NAA Board of Directors?

I am the practitioner I am today because of NAA. This is a chance for me to give back to the organization that created career pathways for me.
